Barbados is very easy to travel round and all fares costing just $1.50 per journey (that's around 50p!). They run frequently and can be caught at any bustop. Apart from the blue buses, you don't have to wait until you get to a bustop, if you see one coming along just put your hand out and it will stop for you.
ZR vans (prononced Zed-R)
These vans are privately owned and run specific routes, they get you to your destination fast. They are the most reliable and a joy if you want to see the true Barbados. However, if you are claustrophobic, it's not recommended that you travel in one of these as the drivers tend to pile people into the vans leaving little space.
The yellow bus
These are also quite reliable and get you to your destination fast but hold on!!
The blue bus
These buses are Government owned and run on a scheduled time. They are roomy and comfortable. You'll be able to know the furthest destination on the upper part of the front of the bus.
